Monkeying Around

With the weather finally turning cooler we were able to take a walk to the park! I love how every house or so Tres and Ana Sofia would yell out if they saw a pumpkin or a Halloween decoration. It definitively made the walk more exciting.
And Texas if you could stay below the 90s that would be awesome because
 Never a dull moment

Trip to the Art Museum

The Art Museum of Birmingham is one of our favorite places to visit. The kids spent hours playing in the kids zone. They built towers and colored on vases. They had a blast and Tres requested that we come back again, so I know it was a hit. Our favorite part was when we went outside. There was no one there so we got to run around and play hide and seek. It was the cutest thing. Tres would count to 10 and Ana Sofia would run just a few feet away and giggle. Oh how I love these two.

Growing up

Tres has gotten to that stage where he doesn't like to take naps. His sister on the other hand needs her 3 hour beauty sleep nap or things get scary! Yesterday while she was still snoozing he was coloring so peacefully. He seemed so independent. He set himself up at papas computer table and turned the lamp on himself. It made me a little sad to see how much he had grown even though I know he will always be my little baby.

Letter to my future self on my daughter's first birthday

Dear Future Self,
Please remember. Please remember her toothy grin that she flashes every morning you go to get her from her crib. Please remember the way her hair, her beautiful red hair, sticks up in different places. Please remember how she smells. That wonderful indescribable baby smell.
And please remember her chunky thighs with all her rolls and hope that when she's older she loves the body God has given her.
Please remember how she sings to herself every time a song comes on and how she rocks like she's in a hard core metal band when she is really enjoying the music. And hope that in the future she is just as creative.
Please remember the sticky fingers and the baby food goo that ends up everywhere. Yes even in her eyebrows. Please remember how she squeals and tries to run away as you try to clean her up. And hope that she still has that zest for life in the future.
Please remember the snuggles. Oh yes the snuggles. How every fuzzy and furry thing she burrows into. How you kiss the top of her head as she snuggles into you. And hope that she finds someone that will hold her and care for her when she gets older.
Please remember her temper. Yes even that. Remember how she screeches whenever she doesn't get her way and growls at you when you try and change her diaper. And hope that one day she will channel all that passion and fire into making a difference in the world.

Please remember future self that time is fleeting. But also remember that she will always be your baby.

Welcome!
I am a home grown Texas gal that is about to make a big move to Alabama! Follow our adventures as a family of four here! My goal is to help family keep up with our daily adventures and be more conscious of documenting our day to day life! Time is so fleeting! And this may be because little one's birthday is just around the corner, but I'm feeling more sentimental than normal.

Thanks for stopping by y'all!

Aren't they cute! Though I'm pretty sure Ana just took a big bite of sand! Oh dear
